I will always remember this phrase because it was the last I heard “You are just a little girl from a small town! They are going to kill you up there” At that moment I took my suitcase and I left my house, one little tear rolled over my face when I crossed the door. Home sweet home nobody is going to love you like in your home. My house was a perfect place to grow up with a happy and peaceful childhood full of good feelings, such as: honesty, hope, love, etc. , but it was not enough at least not for me. Everybody believes that they can judge me, because I gave up to a normal life. For this reason, I am a bad girl would rather live in the city instead of the town. This is my story. In the end you can judge me too.

A photograph session, walk on the runway, to meet elegant and famous people, wear expensive clothes and drive a nice car. That was all I wanted. November ’99 I left the bus. In my mind there existed just one single thought, to be the best top model and the best designer. All that my eyes saw at that moment were totally amazing big buildings, too many cars in the street, a lot of noise, I was among the crowd where people walked too fast and I noticed they did not pay attention to each other. There I was a little and young girl in the big city. I did not know how to start looking for a job, so I bought a newspaper. I found an incredible job offer. I ran to that place and my first disillusionment was about to come. I was not 100% prepared, in my book I just had home pictures in comparison with other books that I could observe when I was up there. My interview started. I felt like an object, there were four people, two girls and two boys. They expressed their ideas as if I were not there. They say something like, “obviously she is overweight” “she is too short” “he is not pretty”. One of them asked me “What were you thinking when you decided to present yourself here? I really wanted to cry. I ran away crying, out of that place, but that day I learnt to always be ready and in order to reach my objective, since that moment I left my feelings away.

Days after, I was sitting in a comfortable chair, drinking a delicious chocolate I was really sad and worried about my situation. I felt terrified to go again to another audition. I lifted my face, in front of my table there was a man. I have to say he was easy to the eye. He said, “Do you need something else?” I said, “No, thanks!” He smile and said, “Ok! My name is Douglas and I was observing you and you look so worried, may I help you?” I really did not pay attention and I responded “just bring me the bill” He said, “Ok I want to help you” I said “What?  I want to be a top model, are you a manager? If you are not, just go” he said, “Take it easy darling, talk to me what happened” I told him all my troubles almost all my life. He helped me in an unimaginable way. Thanks to him I made a really good book to present and I went like twenty auditions. After all my effort, my cell phone started ringing. I felt so important and famous, so popular promoters liked my photos and they wanted me to be their model.

Thousands of men, a lot of friends, loved for everyone, expensive clothes, elegant cars, the VIP in all the famous and private parties. I had all I dreamt. I sent a letter to my house to which I never had a response. Honestly, I did not care about anything or anyone, nor Douglas.  Now I reflect about that, but it is too late I guess. I had a lot of lovers I started designing clothes. Douglas felt in love with me I accepted to start sating other two or three boys. I really enjoyed this because it made me feel desired. After a long work shift my design started selling in the most fashionable stores. Months after, Alexander McQueen bought some of my designs. That day one of my lovers invited me to celebrate this awesome news. We went to a famous and beautiful hotel. We were kissing when Douglas entered the suit. He just stared at me in silence I told him I could explain it. He just left. I dressed up and ran behind him.

I took my car and drove at high speed to his apartment I was drunk. I was not aware of other cars when I crossed the traffic light in red.  I remember the ambulance and a lot of noise around me. I heard some voices far away who said “She is going to die” “God, look at her face, it is full of blood”  “if she survives, it will be a miracle”. Now I am here in this hospital trapped in my own world, I cannot do anything I just remember my life over, and over and over again. Everybody forgot me except Douglas, he comes everyday and talks to me even when I cannot speak, or open my eyes. I just listen to him. The saddest thing I heard was that the day of the accident he was going to ask me to get married. All my success ended fast just four years being “happy”. I lose myself in a material matter letting the significant matters away. Now, you know my story, so I deserve this? I will never forget that phrase, “You are just a little girl from a small town! They are going to kill you up there”

There are a lot of religions around the world nowadays, but it is crucial to mention that there exist ancient religious which are the basis of other religions. Judaism and Catholicism are the most popular and significant religions since the creation of both religions. Judaism refers to sets of beliefs and practices originated in Hebrew book which is called Torah. On the other hand, Catholicism defines its mission as spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, administering the sacraments and exercising charity. These two religions share some differences, but also many similarities.

In most of the religions there exist holy books that govern or contain the rules that believers should obey. In the case of Judaism the the Torah is the fundamental core belief, but this religion does not have a centralized authority dictating religious dogma according to a consultants on religious tolerance. It is very important to mention that this holy book has five books called Tanaj. As it is known the divine inspiration comes from the Tanaj. In contrast, the holy Bible contains around 73 books of Old Testament and New Testament. These books are about life before the comming ofJesus Christ,his passaging in this world and after his dead. Without a doubt Holy Bible defines the religious principles of this community that at the present time represent approximately the fifty percent of the population. 

 

At the beginning these religions had a person who started preaching them. “There were three patriarch s that were, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob according to the Genesis”. The person in charged to preach this religion is called rabbis, it is also very important to mention that their celebrations are performing in a place called synagogues. On the other hand, Moses was the first pioneer of the Catholicism, many years later with the coming of Jesus Christ who is the most important leader of this religion. The priesthood is formed by the maxim authority Pope, who is the leader of a large community of priests. This religious community celebrates in the churches. As you can observe both religions have leaders, people in charged at the present and where performed their beliefs.

It is said that “God is just one, with different names and all the road leads to paradise” Judaism and Catholicism are monotheist religions. It means that just worship one god. In this case, Judaism called to his God Yahveh. However, catholic community believes in a Trinitarian God composed by God father, Jesus Christ (God son) and the Holy Spirit, also they accept the Virgin Mary and the Saints. Another important aspect is the religious celebrations of both catholicism and Judaism. Jewish community has several important festivities, such as: Shabat which an oldest celebration, some modern commemorations are Yamim Noram, Sheloshet Haregalim and days of fasting. Catholicism has many festivities, such as: Lent, Christmas, Corpus Christy, and more.

As a conclusion, Judaism and Catholicism have some similarities, but also many differences among them. I consider that it is very interesting to get more knowledge about our beliefs. Now you have more information that you can argument with someone else. Even when I am catholic I am interested in knowing more about other religions, I can express that my religion is the best, because of my faith, but at least for me it does not matter what your religion is just remember help to your neighbor and always love. Finally, all the matter that you do along the day can be a sign of worship when it is made with love.

The ignorance is the main factor to commit serious mistakes. These mistakes can ruin and frustrate teenager life forever. This is an important reason to promote sex education in elementary school education. Maybe you are wondering, but what exactly sex education is. "Sex education or sex and relationships education is the process of acquiring information and forming attitudes and intimacy". Sex education is also about developing young people's skills so that they make informed choices. With sex education you can prevent HIV, AIDS, abortion, suicide, unwanted pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases. Do you agree? Why? Is it attempt to curb these problems, or on the contrary, invite young people to start their sexual lives?

Some people believe sex education in schools just stimulate young people to start their sexual lives and perceive sex like a common act among teenager crowd. There is the famous case in Washington, some parents disagreed with the idea of the over modern sex education in the schools, because the common topics of this classes were homosexuality, condom use, abstinence and pre-marital sex, and teenagers got interested in. A group of parents believe that homosexuality is a wrong lifestyle, and the morally should be promoted. In Mexico, it is very different because there is not a sex education class, even though in some private and religious schools is a strong taboo to talk or teach about sex or the reproductive system as anatomy class. I wonder if these restrictions provoke in the teenage crowd more or less interest.


The world keeps moving on and it includes how new generations perceive it. For this reason sex education is relevant in elementary and high schools because is can develop different skills in order to prevent bad behavior in the teenage crowd. According to Averting HIV and AIDS " people providing sex education have attitudes and beliefs of their own about sex and sexuality and it is very important no to let these influence negatively the sex education that they provide." There are very important topics that young people need to know, such as: Sexual development and reproduction, contraception and birth control, abortion, relationships, sexuality and confidentiality. With the right information in this topics that is for sure that a lot of illness and problems can be avoid or at least decreased.


It is known in the adolescence stage there are a lot odd changes in the body, but also in the mind. The emotional aspect is the most susceptible and dangerous aspect for a teenager. It is crucial that teenagers know their own body with respect in order to respect another person. But, there is more than the body involved in sex or relationships. The emotional side it is the most important even the causative of a lot of suicides among the young crowd. In a sex education class, it is very important to teach young student how develop skills, as the HIV and AIDS association says the life skills, like  "be able to communicate, listen, negotiate with others, ask for and identify sources of help and advice, are useful life- skills which can be applied to sexual relationships. Effective sex education develops young people's skills in negotiation, decision - making, assertion and listening. Other important skills include be able to recognize pressures form other people and to resist them, dealing with and challenging prejudice and being able to seek help form adults, including parents, careers and professionals, through the family community and health and welfare services.

Finally, it is so important to re-evaluate the distribution of preservatives in schools without a sex class or a shot talk with the teenagers. As I have already mentioned all the abilities that a teenager has to develop before to start or have contact with sexual matter. As it is well known first a teenager has to have as much as information as possible and then when he or she feels ready start meeting a new world in the safest way. So, what is your position now? Is it attempt to curb this problems, or on the contrary, invite young people to start their sexual lives?

Some people beileve sex education in schools just stimulate young people to start their sexual lives and perceive sex like a common act among teenager crowd. There is the famous case in Washington, some parents disagreed with the idea of the over modern sex education in the schools, because the common topics of this classes were homosexuality, condom use, abstinence and pre-marital sex, and teenager get interested in. A group pf parents believe that homosexuality is a wrong lifestyle, and the morally should be promoted. In Mexico, it is very different because there is not a sex education class, even though in some private and religious schools is a strong taboo to talk or teach about sex or the reproductive system as anatomy class. I wonder if this restrictions provoke in the teenage crowd more or less interest.


The world keeps moving on and it includes how new generations perceive it. For this reason sex education is relevant in elementary and high schools because is can develop different skills in order to prevent bad behavior in the teenage crowd. According to Averting HIV and AIDS " people providing sex education have attitudes and beliefs of their own about sex and sexuality and it is very important no to let these influence negatively the sex education that they provide." (Averting HIV and AIDS, 2010, sex education that works, retrieved from,http://www.avert.org/sex-education.htm ). There are very important topics that young people need to know, such as: Sexual development and reproduction, contraception and birth control, abortion,relationships, sexuality and confidentiality. With the right information in this topics that is for sure that a lot of illness and problems can be avoid or at least dicreased.


As you known in adolescence stage there are a lot od changes in the body, but also in the mind. Emotional aspect is the most susceptible and dangerous aspect for a teenager. It is crucial that a teenager knows their body with respect in order to respect to another person.But, there is more than the body involved in sex or relationships. The emotional side it is the most important even the causative of a lot of suicides among the young crowd. In sex education class is ver important to teach to young student to develop skills, as the HIV and AIDS association says the lifeskills, like  "be able to communicate, listen, negociate witho others, ask for and indefity sources of help and advice, are useful life- skills which can be applies to sexual relationships. Effective sex education develops young people's skills in negotiation, decision -  making, assertion and listenning. Other important skills include be able to recognise pressuares form other people and to resist them, dealing with and challenging predujice and being able toseek help form adults, including parents, crers and profesionals, through the family community and health and welfare services. Finally,  it is so important to re-evaluate the distribution of preservatives in schools without a sex class or a shot talk wih the teenagers, it was explained all the abilities that a teenager has to develop before to start or have contact with sexual stuff. As it is well known first a teenager has to has as much as information as possible and then when he or she feel ready start meeting a new world in the safest way. One single photograph can provoke a lot of impact, because it expresses intense feelings and uncountable emotions. One wonderful characteristic is that a photograph can tell you a story with the fact that you are just observing. There are many kinds of photographs, but this one is really special, because that is for sure that you will feel all the emotions.

Beauty, glamour, and talent all these adjectives describe this amazing girl. Her name is Kate Moss the most important top model with a unbeatable beauty. Her image is totally confusing, she is an angel mixed with a demon. An innocent face and an alluring body make her different  from other models in the world. All her body can be compared to Venus de Milo which has been the model of a perfect woman for long time.

A Black and White photograph has the ability to catch the moment and all the emotions around it. In this photograph Kate is wearing a warming and silky sweater and a beautiful , long, grey, and fashion skirt. She is sitting in a comfortable and huge sofa worth for a queen. Around her there are more chairs, but these ones are tiny and narrow. A peaceful environment sorrounds her.

With her half - open eyes, her gorgeous face expresses indescriptible pleasure and elgance. Kate is smoking a cigarette which smell is so relaxing. It is pretty obvious that she can perceive that bitter, but at the same time delighting smell. She is holding it up in her left hand in a very special way. In her other hand she has a cup of coffee which a delicious and burned up smell of the coffee grain which is sweetest and the most pleasurable smell in the world.

My electronic literacy experiences

When someone speaks about a new era I always think in technology. This includes computers and Internet. Nowadays kids and teenagers are in close contact with the Internet. It is very important to mention that Internet has several advantages, but also disadvantages. There are many social networks which the main objective is to communicate and interact socially, exchanging videos, photographs and information. In this essay I am going to explain many aspects regarding my electronic literacy experiences.

                How did I get involved in this experience? My parents bought me a computer when I was nine years old. At that time, there was no Internet because it had not been invented yet. I used to do my homework in Word, Excel or Power Point. I remember a lot the floppy disks because I always saved my course works and I usually lost them. Some years later I worked in economic – administrative programs in the high school, and also I started working in Internet, I used it commonly for searching academic information, then I joined some social networks, such as: Facebook, Twitter, Messenger, etc. I need to confess these web pages are very useful. Nowadays I am still using Internet and Office.

                Internet offers a lot of services to everyone like meeting new people, being in contact with friends on other country, a lot of information of any topic. On the other hand, this magnificent tool also has disadvantages, for example the insecurity which is the first and the most significant edge of Internet. Facebook, Twitter, Messenger and personal blogs are the most famous social networks nowadays. These web pages have approximately more than two millions of followers around the world.  The advantages are uncountable, for example, the information of any topic is very easy to find. Another food example is that you have the opportunity to be in contact with people who are in other country, and also share videos, photographs and more. There are also web pages which the main objective is to meet new people and learn for another culture. Otherwise it is very important to mention the disadvantage insecurity in Internet. Some Media had expressed their concerning about some personality’ or profile’s theft. It consists of some people take all your personal information in order to bother you or to your family. For this reason, it is very important that you do not accept strangers in your account or upload all your personal information. As you can see you are able to use the Internet in the best way in order to make it work in your favor.

                At the present computers and the Internet are common and kids, teenagers and adults can use these tools. The impact of these new technologies is very crucial. You can notice it in kids, because nowadays they seem to be more intelligent and they also know a lot of things, all these changes as a consequence of Internet. In addition, teenagers have access to a lot of good and bad information. This information causes two effects, the first one is to let the illiteracy and ignorance out if the way. The second one is the wrong or bad information in the Internet, for example there are many web pages in pro of anorexic and bulimic people, and for this cause it is very relevant to check how teenagers are using these technologies. In the case of adults, the Internet and computers are totally useful because they have the chance to investigate and share ideas about important topics. In the case of teachers with the use of the moddle platform or the new technologies can help them in the creation of an excellent environment for your students which as a teacher is a huge advantage for teachers.

As a conclusion I consider that Internet and computers are tools of the new era, but depends of your criteria how to use them. I can be in good way, e.g. to increase your knowledge or for wasting time. Remember always keep the balance. What are you waiting for getting in these new inventions of this technological era?
