Judaism vs. Catholicism

“If there were God, it would have been necessary to invent him” Judaism and Catholicism are two of the most significant religions since their creation. Judaism refers to sets of beliefs and practices originated in Hebrew bible. Catholicism defines its mission as spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, administering the sacraments and exercising charity. There are some differences among these two religions, such as: Holy books, creators, beliefs and more.

In most of the religions exist holy books that govern or contain the rules that believers should obey. This is a difference between Judaism and Catholicism, in the case of Judaism “the Torah is the fundamental core belief, but this religion does not have a centralized authority dictating religious dogma”.Catholicism, in contrast Catholicism has its Bible which is a holy book, but without a doubt it defines this religious community that represents approximately the 56 percent of this religion.

At the beginning these religions had a person who started to promote them. “There were three patriarch s that are, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob according with the Genesis”. On the other hand Moses was the first pioneer of the Catholicism, many years later with the coming of Jesus Christ who is one of the most important leaders of this religion; as you can see this is dissimilarity among these religions.

Somebody said that “God is just one, with different names and all the road leads to paradise” Judaism and Catholicism are a monotheist religions; this means that just worship one God. In this case Judaism ad Catholicism God is the same for both, the difference is that Judaism does not accept to Jesus Christ, saints and the Holy Spirit as in the case of the Catholicism.

As a conclusion Judaism and Catholicism have some similarities, but also many differences among them. I consider that is very interesting to get more knowledge about our beliefs. Now you have more information that you can argument with someone else.
